Wonderful experiences are built by amazing people. You’re amazing. Work with us.

Current openings.

  • We’re growing and always looking for talent. If a role is on this website, it means we’re still actively recruiting.

However, if you’re interested in our work and would like to be considered for future positions not currently advertised, we’d still love to hear from you!

Please send your CV and work examples to careers@playlunchgames.com.

You never know what might happen!

Melbourne (the inner-north specifically) is home to the world’s best coffee, is the game development capital of Australia and is one of the world’s most liveable cities.

Why work with us?

We can offer a lot to ensure your time at Playlunch is worth remembering, but here’s a few of our favourites.

Flexibility

Blended remote and onsite options, with hours considerate of families and personal-admin.

Career development

We support you to do your best work, grow your skills and advance your career. If you move onto a higher role from your time here, that’s a win for us.

Subsidised travel

We subsidise part of your travel to and from work - Public transport, parking, bike servicing, or even new runners, we support getting you here and away.

Public holidays

We’re all unique, with different beliefs - so if (for example) you don’t want to celebrate a horse-race, a football match or the birthday of someone you’ve never met, you can use those days where you need them instead.

Doing good!

There’s not much more rewarding than working for a social cause, for children, tackling a global problem. And we get to make games.

So good.

About our team.

We are team of like-minded individuals who are passionate about their craft. Our founders are educational game development veterans that bring a collective experience that has seen the creation of global chart-topping games boasting over 150 million downloads, that helped define and lead a genre of digital play-based learning in early childhood language apps, and has developed games to inspire behavioural change in lower-middle-income countries.

We are supported by an academic advisory board of leading researchers in maths anxiety, family maths engagement, growth mindset, financial literacy and some of the most prominent voices for furthering mathematics in the country.

We are also kept in check by an impressively cylindrical staffy named Arbuckle, who accepts any and all pats, scraps, and patiently listens to whatever you want to tell him.
